Welcome to Arranview Jewellery – if you’re looking for a pair of beautiful earrings to compliment your new work outfit, or nose studs that just ‘sit right’, or the perfect present for your mum then you’re in the right place!
In 1980 it was just a jewellery and gift shop ran by my mum and dad in Troon (Ayrshire), by the early 90’s they were supplying over 100 retail shops in Scotland with excellent value gold, silver, and fashion jewellery, then I joined in 1997 and we now sell on various online shopping channels.
Once you’ve placed an order it goes through what I call ‘the 3 P’s’ –
- P is for Printing – this is where my dad, Dougie, gets involved as he loves to see the orders coming in and getting printed off ready for the next step…
- P is for Picking – now my mum, Linda, takes the printed order and she gets the stock picked out ready for Packing
- P is for Packing – OK, it’s not just family who are involved as your order is packed by Denise. If there is a wee hand written note on your order it’s probably been made by her own fair hand.
And what about me – Iain? Well, I’m the one who gets everything put ‘online’ and if you ever have to get in touch to ask a question or get a problem (there’s another P!) solved it will be me who helps.
Our Seal Of Quality
The advantage of a small team is that we work very hard to make every transaction a great one but know that sometimes things do go wrong – and no matter if you talk on the phone to Linda or send an email or Facebook message to me – we listen and we get it sorted. That’s our Seal Of Quality.
Our Commitment to Hallmarking
When it comes to manufacturing jewellery and silverware, precious metals (silver, palladium, gold
and platinum) are rarely used in their purest form. Instead they are usually alloyed with lesser
metals to achieve a desired strength, durability, and colour.
It is not possible to detect the precious metal content of an item by sight or by touch. It is, therefore,
a legal requirement to have items consisting of silver, palladium, gold or platinum independently
tested and then hallmarked before they can be described as such. Items must bear a hallmark at
point of sale, subject to the following weight exemptions:
Silver: mandatory for items above 7.78 grams; gold: mandatory for items above 1 gram; palladium:
mandatory for items above 1 gram; platinum: mandatory for items above 0.5 grams.
